  decisions

There are untold numbers of decisions both minor and major that must be made when building an RV. Some general rules that I've attempted to follow are:

  • Practicality: I'm not exactly rich so while whiz-bang features are nice, lets try to err on the side of practicality in order to get a flying airplane put together at a reasonable cost.
  • Patience: Building an airplane takes a lot of money and at least a few years no matter how you go about it. Excercise patience. Its about the journey not the destination, right? This isnt a race. As Tony Bingelis at sportair.org said, "An airplane project is not perishable; it will not spoil."
  • Quality: I'm not trying to build the fanciest airplane in the world here but thats no reason not to do the best job that I can with the highest quality components I feel I can afford.
  • Enjoyment: The whole point here is to do something that I love. If I'm not having a good time doing it, that kind of defeats the purpose.
